Along with food hygiene and product quality, we care about environmental protection. We see that reducing plastic waste is not just a trend. It is a responsibility that a company should take. Gong cha Vietnam officially launched the “Green Journey” from July, pioneering in using sugarcane fiber straws and paper seals in their stores. Gong cha is the first bubble tea brand in Vietnam to say NO to plastic waste. With these items made of eco-friendly materials, Gong cha Vietnam set up a plan to reduce the waste of plastic by 60 percent in the next six months. This eco-replacement plan will be gradually expanded to other regions across Vietnam. Other Gong cha stores will have no more than six months to replace plastic straws. The government in Vietnam is strongly supporting their plastic waste reduction efforts. Gong cha Vietnam said their plan to reduce waste would inspire young people, who are the brand’s target customers, to follow the trend and care more about our planet.
